FAQ PROFESIONAL MOVING SERVICES

1) How do I get moving services?

Just submit completed Quotation Request form and our friendly customer service staff will arrange our surveyors to assess your removal needs.

2) What is involve with an in-home estimate?

During an in-home estimate, a salesperson will visit your home and estimate the weight and size of all of your belongings that you will be moving. They’ll also discuss move details such as dates, packing services, etc., and address any questions you may have. At the end of the visit, your salesperson will draft a customized written estimate for your review.

3) When I should contact my mover coordinator?

You may contact your move coordinator at any time throughout your move process. Your move coordinator can assist with delivery dates, additional moving services (packing, unpacking, etc.) and any question you may have about the process. If you ever need to add or subtract items from your move or change your move date, your move coordinator can assist with updates. Keep his/her phone number handy throughout the entire move process.

4) I add/or remove items from my move plan. What should I do now?

Contact your move coordinator if you need to add or subtract any items from your move plan. He/she can assist you with any changes or updates. Keep in mind your cost estimate may change.

5) What packing option do you offer?

You can pack yourself, we can pack some of your belongings or we can pack everything. Central Movers is here to personalize your move process and make this transition easier.

If you’re interested in our packing services, you can discuss options with your salesperson during your in-home estimate. Central Moves offer different packing services to fit all types of moves and budgets.

6) Do you provide cartons and packing materials?

We do provide cartons with various size for yourself packing. Other packing materials like bubble pack, newsprint, stretch film and tapes are also provided by us. There is no delivery charge of packing materials to our customers.

7) Does your offer insurances?

This is an OPTIONAL service and should you decide to take up the insurance, kindly complete the Insurance Declaration Form together with the value of goods to be insured before the packing date. We use TOKIO Transit Marine Insurances as our insurance agent.

8) My move date changed. What should I do?

Contact your move coordinator as soon as you can if your move dates have changed. He/she can process any changes to your plan and discuss updates. Keep in mind that your estimate may change depending on the dates you selected.

9) What am I not allowed to bring with me on my move?

Some items can’t come with you on your move, such a heavy plant pot, build in wardrobe or cabinet, flammables goods and fireworks.

10) What is involved in the whole process of the removal service?

i. Firstly, customers will request our Movers to set an appointment for a quotation.
ii. The surveyor will then go down to the customer’s place personally to do the quotation.
iii. Customers who are satisfied with the quotation will fax or email the confirmation to our Movers.
iv. Our Movers will acknowledge and activate the job for the workers on the date of removal.
v. Finally, the job will be completed smoothly and efficiently.
